Elephant cave old place with unique destinations in Ubud

Ramzi smart travel | elephant cave | Ubud | Elephant cave is a cave where hindus people in bali always make this place as pray and religious  place .This locations is near from ubud market and lie in the right side of hoghway road to kintamani lake . From denpasar if we used a car maybe about 1 hours. If you go to elephat cave in ubud you must turn right and if you want to go to ubud market you must turn to the left and go for about 5 km .




Elephan cave or Gua Gajah which is located in west side of bedulu countryside, Blah Batuh Sub district and Gianyar Regency. It is about 27 km from Denpasar city. This cave is built at crevasse edge from the federation of 2 rills that is called Pangkung River , where the irrigation is mixed with Petanu River flow. The federation area of two rivers is called Campuhan/Mixture. It owns the magical energy on the basis of Rwabineda Concept/two different matters on this basic concept hence Elephant Cave is intentionally built among two rivers.





The word of Gua Gajah is anticipated coming from the word of Lwa Gajah, the name of buddhist temple or hermitage for Buddhist monk. The Gua Gajah's name is written on Negarakeertagama papyrus which is compiled by Mpu Prapanca on 1365 M.


To come in to elephant cave area we must buy a ticket a persons about 25 thousand rupiah , after have a ticket we can came in and go down to the location.

Inside of elephant cave it see a concav place where in left we can see 3 stone that call as lingga in line position . Each lingga is sarrounded by 8 small lingga . In hindus tradition this lingga is a holy place that every hindus people take a pray to siwa god.This lingga is a instrumen to prays to siwa god in manifest as Sang hyang tri purusa.

Each small lingga is a symbol of eight god in eight ways thats call as astadipalaka its purpose to be strongger your soul to besuccest in the live.
